Comments: For the major arcana, a traditional Rider-Waite deck. For the pip cards, the Marseilles approach, with the essence of Waite in a cameo in the center. For the court cards, something different. From page 24:

The court cards in this deck are created to portray a series of moments of personal growth within the querent or reader. When we see a court card come up in a reading, we must examine how it shows where we are within a specific pattern of growth in our lives. If we look at the progression of cards within a specific suit, Page to Knight to Queen to King, as different stages in growth along the specific area covered by the suit, we can begin to understand that Court Cards can have a very different and very helpful impact upon our readings.

Specifically, Pages are beginnings, Knights are the action phase, Queens see efforts coming to fruition, and Kings are where we've "maxed out", completed the work & should start moving along to the next thing. This is shown rather clearly in Cups. The inexperienced Page slops water from his cup, the bold Knight has found a waterfall, the triumphant Queen sits in front of eight fountains, and the King is being drenched by an overshot waterwheel run amok. As a sequence of cards, they work rather well. As court cards, I'm not so sure, as they suppress the sex differences & eliminate the various relationships between the members of court.

But it's not that important as these distinctions are easily ignored. This is a nicely done deck, and very appealing. As I think of it (I don't always), there are no nudes in this deck. All the cats shown are fully clothed.
