Wolf Song Cards

Measurements: 3 x 4.65 inches, or 75 x 118 mm.

Back of card: Fake looking wood grain with various items burned into it. In the center, the outline of a howling wolf. Around him, smaller, the moon, a saucer, an X, a diamond, a 4 pointed star, a small circle, a semi-arc, some nicks, etc. Not quite dull enough to invert & not notice.

Booklet included: Yes, 16 pages, 2.8 x 4.5 inches, or 70 x 114 mm. Notes on the four wolves, though the remaining cards have only keywords.

Comments: You can use these cards one-by-one, or you can separate out the wolf cards (4), place them in the four angles & then pile other cards on top of them.

The various animals in this deck come in families. There are 4 different bears, 2 sheep & 1 goat, 5 elk/deer/moose, 4 different owls, 5 different large cats (eg, ocelot, bobcat, etc.), 6 predatory birds (eagles, a crow, hawks), 3 water birds (eg, duck), 9 various rodents (chipmunk, ferret, possum, beaver, etc), 3 foxes & a coyote, a horse, a frog, a turtle, a buffalo, etc. There are no fish. The four wolves are Timber, Red, Gray & Arctic. (Cards are not packaged in the order I've given.)

As I've mentioned with other decks, this is not a tarot deck, there are no major/minor arcana, no suit cards, no pips, no face cards, etc. If there is an organization to these cards, it's not obvious to me.

Look closely & you'll see that each card has some sort of Native American marking on it, generally engraved on a piece of wood in the foreground. The booklet won't help you with them, so you'll just have to invent your own ideas.
